Platelet rich plasma (PRP) contains, and releases through degranulation, several different growth factors and other cytokines that stimulate healing of bone and soft tissue. PRP is a preparation with a particularly high concentration of platelets (PLTs) in limited volume of plasma. PRP contains growth factors and bioactive proteins that regulate differentiated cells, modulating cell growth and activity, all of which are vital for tissue regeneration and the fabrication of engineered tissues. In PRP therapy, concentrated PRP is either injected of applied locally to improve tissue conditions and wound healing.
There are two types of 3E PRP, 3E-10 and 3E-20.
3E-10 is used when you draw 10ml/cc blood, and you can get about 5ml/cc of plasma/
On the other hand, 3E-20 is for 20ml/cc and you can get about 10 ml/cc of plasma.
